Thank you for your interest in my Christmas Spirit design! This is my view of a merry Christmas as I have every year at home with family and my pets. I so look forward to seeing your creations so please share them in my Facebook group!

With this download you get the written pattern, separate charts, full chart of the whole design and a detailed border all in separate PDFs. IN ENGLISH ONLY.

EDIT I have added an extra PDF for the written pattern rows 122-143 for LEFT HANDED people so that the word JOY isn’t backwards.

The stitches for the blanket is 188 stitches, by 181 rows.

An overlay mosaic crochet design using US terminology.

used DK yarn, and a size 4 hook. For the background colour I used Wendy Supreme Cotton Love 100g, 330m, in Antique gold, 5 Balls, total 1,540m. For the detailed colour, the same yarn in white, 4 balls, total 1410m. Total amount for the blanket is 3,300m. I am a loose crocheter so you will probably use less!
For the border I used the same yarn, 350g in total weight.

Without the border my blanket measures, lengthways 96cm/38inches, widthways 109cm/43inches.
With the border 109/116cm, 43/45.5inches. you can make the blanket bigger by using thicker yarn such as Aran/worsted weight yarn.

A Bit About Me!

I love how creative you can be with mosaic overlay crochet, using only simple stitches.

I dedicate all of my creativity and patterns to my Father who sadly left us Christmas 2021. He was a drummer in local bands in the 80s, one I particularly remember was “With the Flow” so this is why I have the word flow in some of my patterns.

His name was Cliff, my Mum always jokingly said that that’s the only reason she married him was because she had a crush on Cliff Richard lol. He was also in groups called Kindred Spirit, Dark Legion and Take 3, maybe I’ll use some of those words too!

Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy my designs!
